OH DEAR, I think Pop Idol Will
Young is suffering from a severe sense of humour failure.
He was far from happy with his
appearance on Frank Skinner's prime time ITV chat show on Tuesday evening.
On air, Will wore his usual mutt-like
soppy grin and seemed to take the former Fantasy Football star's mickey-taking
in good stead.
But when filming was over he let
rip to his aides.
It seems he wasn't happy at
being on the wrong side of Frank's razor-sharp wit. The stream of gay gags
jarred with the young star. But the ultimate humiliation was when he was forced
to duet with Skinner, who frankly wouldn't have got past the first round of Pop
Idol auditions.
He was forced to perform a
cringy version of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
"As soon as he got off he
badgered his minders about why they'd made him do the show," said my man
in the green room.
"He felt he had been made a
fool of. He'd expected it to be an easy ride like the other saccharine
interviews he does for other TV stations."
