Will Young is in talks to star alongside Nicole
Kidman in a forthcoming flick, according to reports.
The movie in question is a remake of the 1970s classic, 'Cabaret' – the story
of sassy German club singer Sally Bowles who falls in love with a posh English
professor. Nicole is being lined up to play Sally, the role originally made
famous by Liza Minelli, and if reports are to be believed, Will has been
invited to audition for the role of the posh, rich bloke.
The 'Pop Idol' champion, who studied theatre and drama before becoming famous,
will apparently meet with the Hollywood studio next week, while he is in town
to appear on the live final of 'American Idol'. Foxy Kidman is said to have
given Will her blessing after watching tapes of his Pop Idol performances.
Will, whose next solo single 'Don’t Let Me Down' is this year’s Children In
Need theme song, has previously spoken of his desire to be in movies and is
also said to be penning his own film script. And he wears nice clothes. Oh and
he’s rich. Any takers?
