Will Young is to play his first hometown gig in Reading on
Sunday June 9.
He will head the Summer XS festival at the city's
Rivermead along with Liberty X, Sugababes and allSTARS.
Gareth Gates has joined the line-up at a Summer XS gig in
Donington Park in Nottinghamshire on Saturday June 15.
The gigs are part of a string of Summer XS concerts taking
place across the UK in conjunction with local radio stations.
Will says: "I'm extremely chuffed to be playing at
Summer XS in Reading. We've had great fun on tour but playing to a home crowd
will be really exciting.
"It's always great to come home, it will be yet
another milestone in an astounding year."
Details of gigs in Wolverhampton on July 14, Bristol on
August 8, and Bournemouth on September 15 are expected to be announced at a
later date.
Organisers are planning to build two big screens on stage
to show backstage interviews with the artists.
