Winner Will loses again ... bosses put him against Elvis

POP IDOL winner WILL YOUNG has lost out to the show’s runner-up yet again.

In another blatant show of favouritism for GARETH GATES, BMG bosses have pitted Will’s debut album — which is yet to be named — against ELVIS PRESLEY’s greatest hits compilation ELVIS.

Both are set to be released on September 30. Yet the label deleted JXL’s remix of The King’s A Little Less Conversation to ensure Gareth’s new single Anyone Of Us (Stupid Mistake) made No1 this week.

The latest scandal is sure to infuriate fans who have long accused BMG of anti-Will bias.

One record industry insider admitted it was surprising the company did not seem interested in cashing in on Will.

The insider said: “It is getting quite embarrassing to see how much Gareth is being pushed ahead of Will.

“Gareth seems to be their No1 priority — they have almost forgotten that Will was the people’s choice.
