Will Fans Suspect A Plot

Is Wil Young being treated unfairly by his record company? Fans that think so may have something else to be up in arms about. Not only has Pop Idol runner up Gareth knocked Will off No.1 and been allowed to release a brand new song - he's also grabbed the bigger slice of their so-called single together.

Despite Will's stated desire to move on from Pop Idol, the record company has decided to release a version of The Long And Winding Road, a song that Gareth and Will performed as a duet on the programme. Not only have Will fans been forced to share his next single release with Gareth, they're in for a shock when they play the next song on the CD. Suspicious Minds, the other track on the so-called double A-Side release, is a solo performance from Gareth. Not only that, but Gareth has made his own video of the track, so he'll also have the lion's share of the TV exposure.
