'Will Young's debut album From Now On is out on
October 7th - but, as ever, I've had the first listen. Here are the highlights.
The first track, his hit single Evergreen/Anything is Possible is
blinding. A classic.
Next up is Light My Fire - another proven winner. It still lights my fire!
I wasn't so keen on Lover Won't You Stay or Lovestruck. But Will and pal
Gareth Gates did a great job on the Beatles's Long and Winding Road, which is
track five.
You and I didn't flick my switch, but current No1 single, Side By Side is
a great result. What's In Goodbye is co-written by Burt Bacharach. Like
anything by Burt it's cool by me.
Cruel to be Kind is a great tune Will wrote on the day he came out.
Over You is one of my faves, From Now On gets better each time I hear it,
and Fine Line is a very powerful song.'
