This is an interview with Will that is on the American Idol website:

William Young went to Exeter University at 19 and studied politics. He started to sing at University in productions as well as appearing on the catwalk in fashion shows.

After winning ‘Pop Idol,’ Will quickly released his first single in the U.K. and it became one of the fastest selling debut single albums of all time and a No. 1 hit in the U.K. Charts!

We recently caught up with William and here's what he had to say!

How has your life changed since you won Pop Idol?
Massively! I mean obviously the things like fame and being raised to a high profile in such a short time are the main things but... I cope!

What is the best & worst thing about your new career?
Best : Singing as a profession? A dream come true. Worst : Privacy

What was the best and worst thing about being on the show? (including behind the scenes aspects)
Best : Performing every Saturday. Worst : Emotional rollercoaster and the intense circumstances.

Will you be visiting or touring the US?
Hopefully** (Is that an offer?!)

What advice do you have for hopeful Pop Idols in the United States?
Be yourself and don't be afraid of failure. Trust your instincts.

What is the question most people ask you and what is your answer?
Q: Did you always want to sing? A: Yes!!
