Will Young's new single should
debut at the top of the charts this Sunday, according to an HMV spokesman.
His cover of The Doors' Light My
Fire should displace Eminem's Without Me.
Ant and Dec's official World Cup
anthem We're On The Ball is expected to enter the charts at number three.
The Sex Pistols re-released God
Save the Queen should also be a contender for the top 10 in this Jubilee week.
HMV 's chart expert Gennaro
Castaldo told BBC News this was a "potentially huge week for the
singles chart".
He added: "Our confident
expectation is that Will Young will sell around 200,000 singles to comfortably
go straight in at number one and take over from Eminem.
"Ant and Dec's We're on the
Ball should make the top three, and of the other football releases DJ Otzi's
re-release of Hey Baby probably has the best chance of chart success.
"The Sex Pistols re-release
of God Save the Queen will be difficult to call given nobody really knows who
their fanbase is likely to be - it might just sneak into the top 10."
