I need to correct an erroneous story that has appeared in
The Sun concerning the Will Young album, From Now On. I can confirm that the
version of this album currently instore is and will remain the only version. We
have no plans whatsoever to re-package this album.
I should also point out its incredible success to date.
The album entered the UK chart at No.1, selling over 187,000 copies in its
first week. This is the highest first-week sale by a debut artist this year!
The album looks on course to stay at No.1 this week and we are looking to
achieve over 1 million copies by Christmas. We are incredibly proud of the
success of this album and of Will himself.
The story was incorrect, I re-iterate we had no plans to
re-package the album, and I'm sad to be having to issue statements like this in
a week where we should be celebrating our No.1 album.
